Hello everyone, my name is Jeanette Whelan I came across William’s site looking for my ancestors. I have read on the site some of  your family members lived in Indian Pond, Newfoundland. My grandfather is Edward Samuel Morgan married to Lydia Butler.

My great grandfather is Edward Morgan married to Ann Lear and I have been searching for their parents and was wondering if you have any information or where I could look to fine information on my great grandparents. I remember my mother mention the Coveduck family of Indian Pond and Seal Cove.  

I  have also been trying to find out my great grandfathers parents and his siblings for a while. My fathers name is Harold B Morgan Lear (in the above photo) he was raised by his uncle Jacob Henry Morgan Lear and he was also raised by his uncle Henry Lear. My grandfather is Edward Samuel Morgan he married Lydia Butler. Edward Samuel Morgan father is Edward Morgan he married Ann Lear from Hibbs Cove.  

I have heard my mother mention the Coveduck family that lived in Indian Pond. I have a couple of picture belonging to my mother of a Mr Coveduck written on the back of the picture and another picture with a Muriel and Sandy (Alexander) Coveyduck written on the back they may be related to you I have attached the pictures.

       Edward Morgan was born Abt. 1855.  He married Anne Lear.  She was born Abt. 1855, and died 1905.

Children of Edward Morgan and Anne Lear are:

1. George Morgan, born December 20, 1884. He married Elizabeth Morgan, daughter of Abraham Morgan and Eliza Andrews.  She was born July 31, 1888 in Seal Cove, Conception Bay, Newfoundland.

2. Ann Morgan, born January 08, 1891. 

3. Edward Samuel Morgan, born April 12, 1880. He married Lydia Butler, daughter of Charlie Butler.  She was born August 1887.

4. Abraham Morgan, born September 05, 1876.

5. Jacob Henry Morgan, born May 23, 1878.

6. Mary Patience Morgan, born May 05, 1882.

  Generation No. 2

      George Morgan was born December 20, 1884.  He married Elizabeth Morgan, daughter of Abraham Morgan and Eliza Andrews.  She was born July 31, 1888 in Seal Cove, Conception Bay, Newfoundland.

      Children of George Morgan and Elizabeth Morgan are:

1. Phoebe Morgan, born in Kelligrews, Newfoundland.  She married Warrick Butler.

2. Blanche Morgan, born 1926 in Kelligrews, Newfoundland; died August 15, 1998.  She married Robert Berkely Martin; born 1921; died August 03, 1993 in Seal Cove, Conception Bay, Newfoundland. 

3. Alexander Morgan, born 1914 in Kelligrews, Newfoundland; died March 26, 1972. 

4. Eliza Jane Morgan, born Abt. 1910. 

5. Florence Morgan.  She married Maxwell Morgan.

6. Fred Morgan.  She married Mabel Butler.

7. Bertha Morgan.  She married Frank Dawe; born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

      Edward Samuel Morgan was born April 12, 1880.  He married Lydia Butler, daughter of Charlie Butler.  She was born August 1887.

Children of Edward Morgan and Lydia Butler are: 

1. Henry Morgan, born July 1915.

2. Ernest Morgan, born December 1909.

3. Charlie Morgan, born March 1911.  He married Olive Dowden.

4. Frank Morgan. 

5. Clarence Morgan.

7. Mary Morgan, born May 1913.  She married Louis Unknown.

8. Edgar Morgan, born March 1920.

Eliza Jane Morgan was born Abt. 1910.  She married (1) William Barns.    She married (2) Rombough.       

Children of Eliza Morgan and William Barns are:
